Can we do some more interlinking between the German, English and Russian wikipedias to speed up translation? Can someone PLEASE look into this for me - I have a German dictionary, but I can't read Russian, let alone speak it. Would help me a great deal. Thanks.

At enWS, ThomasV and I have put together some templates and a table that enables the display of statistics including the Page: environment en:Wikisource:Administrator's noticeboard/snapshot. Some of the tales from the brothers grimm have interwiki links to the 1812/15 edition, other to the 1857 edition. I do not knew from what edition the translations are made, so can anyone check this. If the edition is not clear, the interwikis should go to our disambiguation pages (and backlink on de.ws from the disambiguation pages to the tales). - The fairy tale was only postponed to the addition in 1812, ru-iw was previously in the first edition (see history). Which of the spending has translated Полевой? Definitely not after the first, the earliest to come into question would be 1837. My guess is the final edition, 1857. Can not determine the exact output for Полевой, there are two ways to link: the Disambiguation page or to the latest edition (1857). --Paulis 09:55, 11 февраля 2010 (UTC)[ответить]
- It says on your page: "Опубл.: 1812—1815." But the translation of de:Der Froschkönig oder der eiserne Heinrich was made clearly not from the 1812 edition but from the 1850 or 1857 edition. There are some sentences: „Was will der Frosch von dir?“ == «Чего же ему нужно от тебя?» and furthermore "Straußfedern" == "страусовыми перьями" that are only in these editions. Unfortunately there is no significant difference between this both editions.
- For the Дитя Марии (Гримм, Полевой) was the 1857 edition clearly the source for the translation. The sentence "aber es war ein jämmerliches Leben, und wenn es daran dachte, wie es im Himmel so schön gewesen war, und die Engel mit ihm gespielt hatten, so weinte es bitterlich." == "Но это была жалкая жизнь горько плакала девочка, вспоминая о том, как ей хорошо было на небе и как с нею играли ангелы." appears only there. In the statistics for works using the ProofreadPage extention, the Russian Wikisource has many (2884) pages that were proofread once, but very few (17) pages that were validated by another user. This makes ru.wikisource trail behind in the statistics. If you take some time to go through the 2894 pages in Категория:Вычитана, you can easily gain a better position among the languages. --LA2 07:50, 21 апреля 2010 (UTC)[ответить]

Hi, I'm a sysop of Chinese Wikisource. We are having a issue with document from ЦК КПСС, Открытое письмо Центрального комитета Коммунистической партии Советского Союза партийным организациям, всем коммунистам Советского Союза. Someone is trying to upload the Chinese translation of it to zh.wikisource and we are not sure about if it should be public domain. Would you please check it and share us with your opinions? - Hi. Yes, it is official post of goverment USSR, like that to example. By the Russian law, the goverment documents and thier official translations are not subject to copyright and can be uploaded free. I do not know what about it say Chinese law and what is the translation you talk. Also, if a translation made by user of Wikisource or has the OTRS permission then such work can be free published. - The Central Committee of the CPSU (ЦК КПСС) was the central organ of political power. The Government of the USSR was subordinate to it, the committee directed all party and governmental activities. The work was published in «Pravda» («Правда»), main newspaper of CPSU and central newspaper of USSR, by authorship the Comittee (authorship of the organisation, not a person).
